Departing from Rocroi, a characterful little fortified town, the Voie Vive trail passes through Bourg-Fidèle, then Rimogne, where you can visit the Maison de l’Ardoise (Slate Museum), or simply admire the architectural remains of the old and the current slate schist quarry. Then head for the Vieilles Forges Lake where you’ll be able to enjoy some watersports and activities. Once you arrive at Montcornet, you can admire Montcornet Castle, or visit its historical villages that will take you back through time. The last section will take you to the Meuse and Semoy Valleys, to Bogny-sur-Meuse, a town of legends with an interesting industrial past where you can go to the Ardennes Metallurgy Museum and learn more about the legend of the Four Aymon Sons.
